Tasting Note

Medium-bodied Médoc: blackcurrant, black cherry, tobacco, cedar, nutmeg and dark chocolate. Silky yet firm tannins, balanced acidity and a long earthy finish with espresso and vanilla notes.


Food Pairing

Western: roast lamb, ribeye, braised beef, mushroom risotto. Asian: Peking duck, char siu, Korean BBQ beef, braised short ribs, mushroom stir-fries.


Production Method

Hand-harvested and sorted; separate vat fermentation by parcel and variety; malolactic conversion; ~12 months aging in French oak barrels.


Vineyard Info

Historic Grand-Poujeaux estate (name from 1806) on gravel soils; ~50–70 ha planted. Owned by the Theil family until 2008, later acquired by the Cuvelier family; known for consistent Cru Bourgeois quality.
