Tasting Note

Classic Pauillac: concentrated blackcurrant, blackberry, graphite and cedar with tobacco, espresso and spice. Silky mid-palate, firm dusty tannins, lively acidity and a long mineral-tinged finish.

Western: roast rack of lamb, grilled ribeye, aged hard cheeses. Asian: Peking duck, char siu / Cantonese roast pork, Korean barbecue (bulgogi), Sichuan pepper beef.


Production Method

Certified organic/biodynamic viticulture; hand-harvested, parcel fermentation (concrete vats) with indigenous yeasts; aged ~18 months in French oak (approx. 60% new).

Family-owned Château Pontet-Canet (Tesseron family), 1855 Fifth Growth; pioneer of organic/biodynamic conversion, ~78–81 ha adjacent to Mouton Rothschild.
