Awards/Ratings
Critic scores reported around: Robert Parker/Wine Advocate 90–92; Vinous ~89–91; retailer/blind notes 90–92 for 2020
Tasting Note
Medium-full, mineral-driven Chardonnay with green orchard fruit, citrus, white flowers, fresh almond and pastry-cream notes; taut, chalky texture and precise acidity with layered depth.
Food Pairing
Western: roast chicken, lobster, scallops, creamy mushroom dishes, pork with beurre blanc, aged cheeses (Comté, Manchego). Asian: sushi/sashimi, tempura, miso-glazed fish, mild Thai coconut curry, steamed or soy-glazed seafood.
Production Method
Hand-harvested Chardonnay; fermented and aged in French oak barrels (partial new oak). Domaine works organically/biodynamically; élevage in barrel imparts subtle oak and texture.
Vineyard Info
Domaine Pierre Labet (Vougeot-based) farms Meursault plots including Les Tillets; François Labet manages estate wines, working biodynamically since mid-2010s and vinifying at Château de la Tour.
