Tasting Note
Perfumed red with sweet berries, peony, orange rind, spice and plum; medium–full body, supple, velvety texture, melting tannins and a seamless, saline-tinged finish. (Paraphrase of Wine Advocate tasting).
Food Pairing
Western: roast lamb, duck (magret), beef tournedos, mushroom risotto, charcuterie and aged cheeses. Asian: Peking duck, char siu, miso-glazed salmon, teriyaki chicken, Korean bulgogi and mushroom-based soba dishes.
Production Method
Organically farmed vineyards; hand-harvested, vinified with appreciable whole-cluster content (non-éraflé), minimal intervention, aged in French oak (~12–18 months, portion new). (Estimate from domaine practices).
Vineyard Info
Historic family estate run by François Labet (linked to Château de la Tour); ~9–10 ha across Côte de Beaune/Côte de Nuits, focused on low yields and organic/sustainable viticulture (organic certification from 2021).
