Tasting Note
Concentrated black-fruit core of blackberry, cassis and black cherry with violet, cedar, iodine and graphite notes. Firm, savory tannins, smoky oak and a saline, mineral finish. Medium-full-bodied and ageworthy.
Food Pairing
Western: grilled ribeye, roast lamb, braised short ribs, aged cheddar. Asian: Korean BBQ (bulgogi/galbi), char siu, Peking duck, Sichuan beef or black bean stir-fry.
Production Method
Hand-harvested, fermented in stainless steel and large oak vats, matured ~18 months in French oak (portion new). Traditional Bordeaux élevage with blending before bottling.

Historic Saint-Estèphe estate; vineyard c.70ha vines (avg ~35 years). Longstanding Médoc producer; Michel Rolland consulted; ownership transferred in 2017 to Philippe Van de Vyvere.
