Tasting Note

Ripe blackcurrant and blackberry with crushed violet, mocha and tobacco; plush, velvety texture, juicy core, vibrant acidity and a savory, lingering finish.


Food Pairing

Roast lamb, ribeye steak, beef stew, aged hard cheeses; Asian: Peking duck, Korean BBQ beef short ribs, char siu, soy-miso braised dishes, grilled shiitake and hoisin-glazed pork.


Production Method

Hand-harvested, fermented in temperature-controlled vats, matured ~12 months in French oak (30% new) with regular rackings. Bottled under natural cork.

Produced by Château Ducru-Beaucaillou (Borie family). Le Petit Ducru is the estate’s second wine, crafted from selected younger-vine parcels near the Gironde estuary.
