Tasting Note
Savory, concentrated Shiraz showing blueberry, mulberry, red cherry and exotic spice, with olive-brine and nori-like umami, iron/mineral edge and cocoa-like tactile tannins. Medium-plus acidity and a long savory finish.

Western: roast lamb with rosemary, grilled ribeye, braised beef short ribs, mushroom risotto, aged cheddar. Asian: Peking duck, Korean BBQ (bulgogi), Cantonese char siu, Malaysian beef rendang, miso-glazed aubergine, grilled shiitake.

Production Method
100% Shiraz sourced from multiple South Australian regions; matured 12 months in large seasoned (old) oak vats with no new oak; bottled under screwcap.

Vineyard Info
Penfolds, established in the 1840s, is a benchmark Australian producer. St Henri traces to Auldana (1888), revived by Penfolds in 1957 as a single-varietal Shiraz celebrated for elegance and cellaring.
