Tasting Note
Concentrated Barossa Shiraz: ripe blackberry, plum and blueberry with violets, dark chocolate, sweet spice and vanilla oak. Silky, plush texture, fine-grained tannins, earthy ironstone notes and a long, savory finish.

Food Pairing
Western: grilled ribeye, roast lamb, beef stew, aged cheddar. Asian: Korean BBQ (galbi/bulgogi), Sichuan spicy beef, Cantonese char siu, Peking duck.

Production Method
Hand-harvested Barossa Shiraz; stainless-steel fermentation with prolonged maceration; matured ~14 months in French oak hogsheads (majority new) before bottling.

Vineyard Info
Penfolds (est. 1844). RWT (Red Winemaking Trial) launched 2000; Bin 798 designation since 2014. RWT sources selected Barossa vineyards for aromatic purity and fine tannins.
