Tasting Note

Dense dark-plum, blackberry and boysenberry fruit with espresso, dark chocolate, exotic spice and ironstone minerality. Fine, grainy tannins, cedar and mocha oak, bright acidity and a long, savory finish.


Food Pairing

Grilled or roast lamb, charred ribeye or beef brisket, aged cheddar; Asian pairings: hoisin roast duck, char siu (barbecue pork), Korean BBQ beef, and rich Cantonese or Sichuan-style dishes.


Production Method

Fermented Shiraz matured ~18 months in French and American oak hogsheads and large puncheons (≈29% new each). Made in the traditional Penfolds vinification style with oak-driven maturation.
