Concentrated dark cherry and pomegranate with savoury notes of smoky bacon, cedar and toasted spice. Mouthfilling, layered texture with fine polished tannins, bright acidity and a long, focused finish.

Production Method
Traditional Burgundian methods: ~40% whole-bunch, cool natural ferment with gentle plunging; pressed to French oak barriques (≈40% new) and matured (~14 months); malolactic fermentation in barrel.

Donaldson family estate founded 1986. Old ungrafted vines on Glasnevin Gravels in Waipara; low-fertility soils, north-facing terraces and cool nights produce low-yield, concentrated fruit.
