Tasting Note
Fragrant blackcurrant and raspberry with violet, rose petal and spice; silky, fine-grained tannins, bright acidity and mineral-tinged medium body, finishing long and perfumed.

Food Pairing
Roast lamb, beef, duck, mushroom risotto, aged cheeses; Peking duck, char siu, Korean bulgogi, beef hotpot, soy-braised mushrooms.

Production Method
Hand-harvested estate fruit; controlled fermentations with malolactic conversion; selection and saignée used for concentration; matured ~12–18 months in 50–60% new oak barrels.

Vineyard Info
Second wine of Château Margaux (First Growth Margaux). Named Pavillon Rouge in 1908 and relaunched under André Mentzelopoulos in 1977; estate director Philippe Bascaules oversees viticulture and blending.
