Tasting Note
Concentrated blackcurrant and black cherry with violet florals, cedar, tobacco and truffle notes; medium–full bodied, silky yet firm tannins, savory earthiness and a long, polished finish.

Western: roast lamb, grilled ribeye, braised beef (beef bourguignon), aged hard cheeses. Asian: Peking duck, char siu, soy-braised short ribs, mushroom or beef hotpot.

Production Method
Selected grapes destemmed and fermented, matured in barriques (≈60% new oak), blended and bottled; represents ~30% of the estate’s harvest (bottled July 2020).

Vineyard Info
Second wine of Château Margaux (named Pavillon Rouge since 1908). Revived under André Mentzelopoulos in 1977; draws fruit from Margaux estate vineyards to offer a more approachable, ageworthy wine.
