Tasting Note

Perfumed Margaux: violets and dried rose over black cherry, cassis and plum, with kirsch, cocoa and cigar-box undertones. Medium-bodied, silky yet firm tannins and balanced acidity, finishing long, floral and savory.

Food Pairing

Roast lamb, ribeye or beef short ribs, mushroom risotto; duck à l'orange, Peking duck, char siu or Korean BBQ (bulgogi/galbi); aged cheeses, umami-rich braised dishes.

Production Method

Hand-harvested with strict selection; fermented in temperature-controlled vats; matured 18–20 months in French oak barrels (≈60% new); fined with egg white and bottled.

Vineyard Info

Château Margaux, a 1855 First Growth in Margaux (Médoc), was revitalized under André Mentzelopoulos from 1977. Pavillon Rouge (second wine, named 1908) offers earlier approachability while reflecting the estate’s classic elegance.

Delivery is typically completed within 5–7 business days from the date payment is received.
