Tasting Note
Perfumed, deep red-fruited Pinot: dark cherry, pomegranate and blood orange with rose petal, menthol and subtle savory red-clay/mineral notes. Silky texture, bright acidity, fine-grained tannins and a long, lifted finish.

Roast duck, pork tenderloin, mushroom risotto, grilled salmon, beef short ribs; Asian: Peking (roast) duck, Korean bulgogi, miso-glazed black cod, teriyaki salmon, mushroom hot pot.

Production Method
Hand-harvested fruit; native-yeast fermentation with ~15% whole-cluster inclusion; 5-day cold soak, ~17-day maceration; aged ~15 months in French (Allier) oak (portion new).

Goldrock Estate (Paul Hobbs) on the West Sonoma Coast near Annapolis; ~550 ft elevation on Goldridge fine sandy loam, planted mid-2000s. Paul Hobbs founded his winery in 1991 and farms sustainably.
