Tasting Note
Ripe red and black cherry, black raspberry and cranberry with rose and forest-floor notes, crushed-rock minerality, baking spice and vanilla. Silky, satin texture, polished tannins, bright acidity and a long, perfumed finish.

Western: roast duck, mushroom risotto, pork tenderloin, grilled salmon; Asian: miso-glazed black cod, Peking duck, teriyaki salmon, Korean BBQ, shiitake soba.

Production Method
Hand-harvested fruit; ~15% whole-cluster, indigenous fermentations with 5-day cold soak and extended maceration, gentle punchdowns; spontaneous malolactic in barrel; aged ~15 months in French oak (≈30% new); bottled unfined and unfiltered.

Goldrock Estate, owned by Paul Hobbs, sits five miles from the Pacific near Annapolis on Goldridge soils. Coastal ridge vineyard planted to Pinot Noir and Chardonnay; acquired by Hobbs in 2016 and used for single-vineyard bottlings.
