Tasting Note

Vivid dark cherry and black raspberry with violet, bergamot, sandalwood and forest-floor notes. Silky texture, firm grainy tannins, mineral-tinged brightness and a long, precise finish.

Production Method

Hand-harvested 100% Pinot Noir; small % whole-cluster; indigenous yeast fermentations in small open-top stainless tanks; 5–6 day cold soak, 15–17 day maceration; spontaneous malolactic in barrel; ~15 months French oak; bottled unfined/unfiltered.

Paul Hobbs founded his winery in 1991. Katherine Lindsay Estate is a 14-acre estate in the Russian River; Cuvée Agustina is a barrel selection from block A9, named for Hobbs' daughter and made only in the best vintages.
