Tasting Note

White peach, baked apple and tangerine with honeysuckle, toasted spice, brioche and saline minerality; vibrant acidity, creamy mid-palate and a long honeyed, sage-cream finish.

Roast chicken with herb butter, lobster or crab cakes, creamy mushroom risotto; grilled scallops, miso‑glazed black cod, sushi (toro), tempura vegetables, roasted pork belly.


Production Method

Estate-grown old Wente clone on Goldridge soils; hand-harvested early; fermented and aged in French oak (partial new), with partial malolactic and sur-lie aging to build texture.

Ross Station is Paul Hobbs’ small estate in the Green Valley sub‑AVA of Russian River; planted on former peach orchard Goldridge soils. Paul Hobbs founded his winery in 1991; 2017 production was small (circa 339 cases).
