Tasting Note

Rich and layered: brioche, Bosc pear, quince, Meyer lemon, honeyed spices and saline minerality. Creamy, full palate with bright acidity and a long, mineral-laced finish.

Western: roast chicken with herbs, beurre blanc seafood (lobster, scallops), mushroom risotto, Gruyère‑based dishes. Asian: miso‑glazed black cod, tempura soft‑shell crab, chicken katsu, mild coconut curry.


Production Method

Whole-cluster pressed and cold barrel-fermented (largely indigenous yeasts); spontaneous malolactic in barrel. Aged ~15 months in French oak (approx. 50–60% new) sur lie with regular bâtonnage; bottled unfined/unfiltered.

Richard Dinner Vineyard is a historic Sonoma Mountain hillside site (old Wente, clone 72) farmed on volcanic clay-loam soils. Paul Hobbs has worked the site since his winery’s founding in 1991.
