Tasting Note
Jewel-toned, with tart cranberry, pomegranate and black cherry, layered with wild berries, forest floor, black tea and subtle smoky/stemmy notes; vibrant acidity, silky tannins and a persistent mineral-tinged finish.

Production Method
Estate-grown, mixed-clone fermentations (Calera, Mt. Eden, 115, others); approx. 15% whole-cluster fermentation; aged ~12–15 months in roughly 30% new French oak.

Paul Hobbs acquired the George Menini Estate (Sebastopol Hills) and farms ~39 acres planted to Pinot Noir and Chardonnay on Goldridge sandy loam, planted with heritage and Calera/Mt. Eden clones and managed for quality.
