Tasting Note
Medium-bodied Pauillac with blackcurrant, plum, cedar, tobacco and mint notes. Bright acidity, supple tannins and a saline, slightly chocolate-tinged finish—approachable now but structured enough for short-term aging.
Food Pairing
Western: roast lamb, grilled ribeye, braised short ribs, mushroom risotto, aged cheddar. Asian: Peking duck, Cantonese char siu, Korean BBQ (galbi), beef bulgogi, soy-braised short ribs.
Production Method
Estate fruit vinified in stainless steel and concrete, selected for the second wine; matured in French oak barrels with a limited proportion of new oak; blended and bottled as the château’s second label.
Vineyard Info
Second wine of Château Clerc Milon (1855 Fifth Growth, Pauillac), estate owned by the Rothschild family; Pastourelle launched from 2009 and marketed under its own name since 2015.
