Tasting Note

Concentrated blackcurrant and blackberry with violet, cedar, graphite and exotic spice; full-bodied, fresh acidity, firm powdery tannins and a long mineral-tinged finish.


Food Pairing

Western: roast lamb, ribeye or porterhouse steak, duck confit, mushroom risotto, aged comté or cheddar. Asian: Peking duck, char siu, Korean BBQ beef, braised short ribs (galbi), miso-glazed aubergine.


Production Method

Manual harvest and parcel vinification; cold pre-fermentation maceration; 30–40 day maceration; malolactic in oak; ~18 months in French oak (≈60% new).

Owned by Bernard Magrez; Grand Cru Classé de Graves with ~60–64 ha of vineyards. Estate dates to 1252 and uses parcel-based vinification with modern cellar techniques.
