Tasting Note

Perfumed black cherry, cassis and blackberry with violet, graphite and cocoa; silky, polished tannins and bright acidity leading to a long, mineral-tinged finish.


Food Pairing

Western: roast lamb, beef ribeye, mushroom risotto, aged hard cheeses. Asian: Peking duck, Cantonese roast pork (char siu), Korean BBQ beef, Sichuan beef with black bean, Malaysian beef rendang.


Production Method

Vines farmed biodynamically; parcels and varieties vinified separately, aged 20–22 months in 50% 225L oak barriques and 50% 30hL foudres (less than 50% new oak).

Château Palmer, a Margaux estate and 1855 Troisièmes Crus, owned by the Mähler-Besse and Sichel families; noted for gravel soils, emphasis on Merlot and biodynamic conversion.
