Tasting Note
Blackberry and black currant with cocoa, supple leather, earthy herbs and dark spices; concentrated, silky texture with elegant, lengthy tannins and a long energetic finish.

Food Pairing
Western: grilled ribeye, roasted lamb, braised short ribs, aged cheddar. Asian: Korean BBQ (galbi), Peking duck, Sichuan beef, miso-glazed eggplant, soy-braised short ribs.

Production Method
Bordeaux varieties harvested and vinified separately; hand- and optical-sorted, fermented in five-ton oak casks up to 27 days; aged 18 months in 95% new heavy-toast French oak.

Founded by Jayson Pahlmeyer in 1986; sources include Stagecoach, Upper Range, Waters Ranch and Rancho Chimiles. Brand sold to E. & J. Gallo in 2019.
