Tasting Note
Blackcurrant and black cherry with graphite, tobacco and clove notes. Medium–full-bodied, fresh acidity, ripe grainy tannins and a long, spicy finish.
Food Pairing
Roast lamb, grilled ribeye, beef stew, mushroom risotto; Asian: Peking duck, Korean BBQ (bulgogi), braised short ribs, miso-glazed aubergine, Cantonese roasted pork.
Production Method
Fermented from estate fruit and aged ~13 months in barrels (30% new oak). Second wine made from younger vines; bottled July 2018.

Les Pagodes de Cos is the second wine of Château Cos d'Estournel (Deuxième Cru classé), produced since 1994 from younger estate vines on clay-rich Saint-Estèphe soils.
