Dense dark-fruit core of black cherry and plum with tobacco, leather, licorice and smoky cedar; ripe but firm tannins and a long, savory finish.

Grilled or roasted lamb, rib‑eye steak, game, mushroom risotto; Asian: Korean BBQ (bulgogi), Peking duck, char siu pork, spicy Szechuan beef.

Production Method
Hand-harvested Tempranillo; 100% destemmed, malolactic in new French oak; 16 months in new French oak barrels, followed by tank ageing before bottling.

Viñedos de Páganos (Hermanos Eguren) — estate in Páganos-Laguardia, Rioja Alavesa; old vines (planted c.1975) on calcareous clay soils. Producer part of the Eguren family of wineries.
