Tasting Note

Black cherry and cassis with forest‑floor, tobacco and earthy notes. Medium-bodied, juicy black fruit, grainy texture and a mineral‑tinged, persistent finish.

Roast lamb, grilled steak, braised beef, aged cheeses; Asian pairings: Korean barbecue, char siu (Cantonese roast pork), Peking duck, Szechuan beef, rich soy‑braised dishes.


Production Method

Hand‑harvested, fermented in selected vats and matured ~15 months in oak barrels (portion new oak) before bottling.

Owned and managed by the Cazes family (owners of Lynch‑Bages); ~33–37 hectares around the hamlet of Pez with long historic roots. Jean‑Charles Cazes oversees production.
