Tasting Note

Concentrated black and red fruits (black cherry, blackberry, raspberry) with violet, spice, leather and savory/meaty notes. Polished yet muscular, firm slightly drying tannins, mineral backbone and a long, persistent finish.


Food Pairing

Western: roast beef, lamb, venison, mushroom risotto, aged Comté or Gruyère. Asian: Peking duck, char siu, Korean BBQ (bulgogi), shiitake/soy braised beef, hot pot with beef and mushrooms.


Production Method

Hand-harvested Pinot Noir from old vines; partial whole-cluster fermentation with 2–3 week maceration in small open vats, native yeasts, aged ~16–20 months in French oak (portion new). Minimal intervention to preserve terroir.

Domaine led by Olivier Bernstein (active since 2007). Emphasizes viticulture and old vines; acquired/owns Mazis-Chambertin parcel (owns since c.2012) and produces several Grand Crus from Gevrey-Chambertin.
