Tasting Note
Coastal Highland single malt: honeyed orchard fruit and orange marmalade with light peat smoke, sea‑salt, heather honey, vanilla and gentle oak spice. Silky, medium‑bodied with a warming, slightly spicy finish.
Food Pairing
Western: fresh oysters, smoked salmon, aged Manchego, roast pork or grilled steak, dark chocolate. Asian: sushi (tuna), grilled mackerel, Korean BBQ, char siu, spiced curries and umami-rich dishes.
Production Method
Double‑distilled in small copper pot stills from 100% malted barley; matured ~14 years primarily in refill ex‑bourbon American oak hogsheads; bottled at 43% ABV (typically chill‑filtered, natural colouring common).

Oban Distillery, founded 1794 in Oban, Argyll. One of Scotland's smallest working distilleries with two pot stills; owned by Diageo. Its 14‑year is the flagship and part of the Classic Malts of Scotland range.
