Tasting Note
Light ruby red with fresh wild berry and red cherry aromas, subtle spice and granite minerality. Bright acidity, fine silky tannins and an elegant, medium-length finish.

Food Pairing
Western: roast pork, veal stew, grilled lamb, mushroom risotto, cured sausages. Asian: Korean bulgogi, char siu (Cantonese roast pork), teriyaki chicken, duck with plum sauce, pork belly.

Production Method
Hand-harvested, stainless-steel fermentation with temperature control; aged in concrete tanks (cement vats) for extended lees contact before bottling.

Niepoort, founded 1842, expanded into Dão around 2012 under Dirk Niepoort (5th generation). Focuses on old vines in granite soils and traditional winemaking.
