Tasting Note
Orchard and stone-fruit (apricot, white peach), bright citrus and floral notes, brioche/hazelnut from oak, pronounced minerality and saline streak, elegant creamy texture with precise, long finish.

Food Pairing
Western: shellfish, grilled white fish, roasted chicken, pork loin, mushroom risotto, soft cheeses. Asian: sashimi/sushi, steamed fish with ginger & scallions, Cantonese seafood, light Thai or Vietnamese seafood dishes.

Production Method
Hand-harvested old-vine fruit; overnight whole-cluster pressing; spontaneous native fermentation in French oak (228L & 550L, ~50% new); partial malolactic; ~12 months on lees before bottling.

Niepoort's Coche comes from high-altitude (≈600–750m) old vines (≈80+ years) on mica‑schist soils in the Douro; limited-production prestige white from Niepoort (Dirk Niepoort). Inspired by Coche-Dury.
