Tasting Note

Mid-crimson; concentrated dark cherry and plum with wild herbs, five‑spice, clove and a smoky bacon note. Fine, ripe tannins, bright acidity and a stony mineral thread; long, savory finish.


Food Pairing

Western: roast lamb, venison, duck breast, mushroom risotto, aged cheese. Asian: Peking duck, char siu pork, miso aubergine, teriyaki salmon, Korean bulgogi.


Production Method

Hand‑harvested fruit from organic, dry‑farm Home Block. Open‑top wild‑yeast fermentations, natural malolactic, aged ~10–12 months in French oak (c.20% new); unfiltered.

Neudorf Vineyards, founded by Tim & Judy Finn in 1978. Home Block (Upper Moutere) is dry‑farmed, certified organic and noted for old vines and Moutere clay‑gravel soils.
