Tasting Note

Ripe black and red fruits (blackberry, plum, cherry) with cedar, leather, tobacco and Middle Eastern spice. Bright acidity, smooth velvety tannins and a long, spicy, slightly earthy finish.

Roast lamb, grilled steak, beef stew, game and mature cheeses; Middle Eastern mezze, spiced lamb kebabs, Peking duck, Korean BBQ, Chinese braised beef or hearty Sichuan dishes.


Production Method

Hand-harvested Bekaa fruit; fermentation in cement vats with extended maceration, aged in French oak (≈1 year), blended after the second year; minimal filtration and low-intervention approach.

Château Musar (founded 1930 by Gaston Hochar) is a family-run estate in the Bekaa Valley, Lebanon. Serge Hochar modernized production; estate is known for traditional, low-intervention winemaking and long bottle ageing.
