Tasting Note
Mature Pauillac with tertiary notes of leather, cedar, forest floor and dried fig over subtle red fruit. Silky texture, moderate acidity and softened tannins; restrained yet complex finish with tobacco and earthy nuances.
Food Pairing
Roast lamb, braised beef, venison, aged hard cheeses; Peking duck, char siu, Korean BBQ (galbi), soy-braised mushrooms and rich umami Asian dishes.
Production Method
Hand-harvested, traditional Bordeaux vinification by parcel, fermented in wooden/concrete vats, blended and aged ~18–20 months largely in new oak barrels, then bottled at the château.
Vineyard Info
Château Mouton Rothschild — historic Rothschild-owned Pauillac estate, elevated to Premier Cru status in 1973; famed for Cabernet-dominant blends and artist-designed labels.
