Tasting Note

Bright citrus and lime zest, lemon curd, green apple and pear with floral Muscadelle notes, lemongrass and a hint of vanilla/oak. Sleek, linear palate with vibrant acidity and a long, saline-quinine finish.

Fresh oysters, grilled fish or seabass, roast chicken, goat cheese; Asian: sashimi/sushi, Vietnamese spring rolls, Thai herb salads, steamed fish with ginger and soy.


Production Method

Each variety picked and fermented separately; whole production barrel-fermented (mostly older barrels), relatively hard pressing, lees stirring and approx. 11 months barrel maturation.

Mount Mary is a family-owned, single-vineyard estate in the Yarra Valley founded by John and Marli Middleton in 1971; third-generation Sam Middleton is head winemaker.
