Tasting Note

Yellow grapefruit, lemon zest and white peach with seared pear, flinty struck‑match and toasted almond; creamy mid‑palate, bright citrus acidity and a long mineral, slightly honeyed finish.

Western: roast chicken, butter‑poached lobster, creamy pasta or risotto, seared scallops, grilled salmon. Asian: miso‑glazed cod, tempura prawns, steamed fish with ginger & scallion, soy‑glazed pork belly, milder Thai curries.


Production Method

Hand‑picked fruit; crushed and destemmed; barrel‑fermented in French oak (≈30% new); lees stirring and matured ~11 months; bottled under screw cap.

Family‑owned Mount Mary (est. 1971 by John & Marli Middleton) in Yarra Valley. Sam Middleton (3rd gen) oversees winemaking; estate ~40 ha producing premium Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.
