Tasting Note
Blackcurrant, blackberry, graphite, cedar and tobacco with menthol and floral lifts; medium-full body, fresh acidity, refined, velvety tannins and a long mineral finish.

Western: roast lamb, prime rib, beef stew, mushroom risotto, aged hard cheeses. Asian: Peking duck, char siu, Korean BBQ short ribs, beef rendang, Sichuan-style beef.
Production Method
Hand-harvested; classical fermentation with ~3-week macerations; matured in oak (c.60% new) for around 16–18 months; estate in organic conversion in 2021.

Château Montrose (95ha) is a Médoc Second Growth (1855). Gravelly soils over clay; owned and extensively renovated by Martin & Olivier Bouygues since 2006.
