Tasting Note

Dense garnet colour; aromas of blackcurrant, plum, graphite, cedar and saline mineral notes. Concentrated black fruit on the palate with refined, velvety tannins, precise acidity and a long, graphite-tinged finish.


Food Pairing

Western: roast lamb, grilled ribeye, beef stew, mushroom risotto, aged cheeses and charcuterie. Asian: Peking duck, char siu, Korean BBQ short ribs, braised beef buns, miso-glazed dishes.


Production Method

Estate-grown, selective hand-harvest, parcel vinification with extended maceration; fermented in temperature-controlled vats and aged 18–20 months in French oak (approx. 60% new).

Château Montrose (95 ha) is a 2ème Cru Classé (1855) in Saint-Estèphe. Owned by the Bouygues family since 2006, noted for gravel-on-clay terroir and long‑lived, structured wines.
