Tasting Note

Very concentrated and full-bodied: blackcurrant, blackberry, truffle, espresso, cedar and tobacco with sweet, velvety tannins and an epic, mineral-driven finish.


Food Pairing

Western: roast beef, ribeye, lamb, venison, mushroom ragout. Asian: Peking duck, Korean bulgogi, char siu (Cantonese BBQ pork), braised beef hot pot, shiitake mushroom hot pot.


Production Method

Hand-harvested; vinified in stainless steel/temperature-controlled vats; aged ~18–22 months in French oak (77% new); bottled May–June 2011.
