Tasting Note

Fresh red and black cherry, wild strawberry, violet and sous-bois with discreet spice and cedar; medium-bodied, silky texture, fine firm tannins and a long, savory finish.

Western: roast beef, magret de canard, mushroom risotto, beef tenderloin. Asian: Peking duck, char siu (Cantonese BBQ pork), miso-glazed salmon or eggplant, Korean BBQ (pork/beef).


Production Method

Hand-harvested; fermentation in temperature-controlled vats (mostly destemmed); aged ~12 months in French oak (≈30% new), then ~4 months in tank; light filtration.

Domaine Michel Bouzereau et Fils (Meursault) — family estate (7 generations), ~10 ha. Les Vignes Franches is a 0.5 ha plot replanted in 2017, situated just below Clos des Mouches.
