Tasting Note
Concentrated black cherry and blackberry with violets, loam, dark chocolate and fine toasted spice. Velvety, refined tannins, bright acidity and mineral drive lead to a long, elegant finish.
Food Pairing
Roast duck, beef bourguignon, braised lamb or short ribs, mushroom risotto; Asian: Peking duck, char siu, miso‑glazed salmon, shiitake hot pot, bulgogi (Korean BBQ).
Production Method
Hand‑harvested Pinot Noir; cold soak (3–5 days) then fermentation in concrete vats with pump‑overs and pigeage. Aged c.16–18 months in French oak (heavy proportion of new oak, Tronçais barrels) before bottling.
Vineyard Info
Historic Vosne‑Romanée estate dating to early 1900s (Etienne Camuzet). Now run by Jean‑Nicolas Méo; significant Grand Cru holdings including Clos de Vougeot; works to organic principles and emphasizes terroir-driven Pinot Noir.
