Tasting Note
Bright ruby with aromas of wild cherry, blackberry, rose and spice, plus subtle leather and forest-floor notes. Medium-bodied, juicy acidity, fine dusty tannins and a long, savory, slightly balsamic finish.
Food Pairing
Western: grilled red meats, roast pork, aged pecorino, pizza, tomato-based pasta. Asian: Korean BBQ (bulgogi), char siu, miso-glazed eggplant, Sichuan-style braised beef, teriyaki beef.
Production Method
Fermented in stainless steel with controlled temperatures; aged 6–7 months in 54 hl Allier oak barrels, then ~3 months in bottle before release. Conventional viticulture; recently moved to non‑invasive practices.

Mastrojanni, founded 1975 in Castelnuovo dell'Abate (Montalcino). Renowned Brunello producer with ~39–41 ha; produces Rosso as the younger, earlier-drinking expression. Began holistic/non‑invasive practices in 2022.
