Tasting Note
Bright golden color. Aromas of orange blossom, apricot marmalade, honey and light botrytis. Palate of candied peach, apricot, fig and pineapple, with glycerol sweetness balanced by vibrant acidity and a long honeyed finish.
Food Pairing
Western: foie gras, pâté, panforte, ricciarelli, cantucci, blue cheese (gorgonzola), almond desserts. Asian: mango sticky rice, mooncakes, sesame or honey sweets, wagashi (Japanese confections), sweet red‑bean desserts.
Production Method
Late-harvest (vendemmia tardiva) grapes, partially affected by noble rot; gently pressed and fermented, matured ~24 months in barrique/tonneau, then ~12 months in bottle.

Azienda Agricola Mastrojanni, founded 1975 in Castelnuovo dell'Abate (Montalcino). Estate ~109 ha (c.40 ha vineyards); Moscadello comes from a few select plots, produced in very small quantities.
