Tasting Note

Fresh citrus and juniper up front with tropical notes of guava, roselle and shekwasha, green/bitter melon undertones and warm long-pepper spice. Floral, bright and slightly savory with a long, warm, tropical finish.


Food Pairing

Grilled seafood (prawns, squid), ceviche, citrus salads, sushi/sashimi, tempura, yakitori, Thai-style seafood curries, grilled chicken or roasted vegetables.


Production Method

Awamori-style base (long-grain rice with black koji) distilled in two single pot stills (hybrid distillation). Okinawan botanicals are macerated and separately distilled then blended.

Masahiro Shuzo (founded 1883) in Okinawa is an historic awamori distillery now producing craft gin under seventh-generation leadership, known for applying traditional awamori techniques to new spirits.
