Tasting Note

Aromatic nose of old walnuts, figs and almonds with roasted-coffee notes; palate of intense dried fruit, toasted/almondy nuts and a subtle blackcurrant finish; long, supple, structured finish.


Food Pairing

Western: dark chocolate, blue cheese, foie gras, roasted lamb, almond biscotti. Asian: Peking duck, char siu (roast pork), five-spice duck, mooncakes, sesame/almond confections.


Production Method

Single-estate (1989) eaux-de-vie from Grande Champagne, double pot-distilled and matured in Limousin oak casks until bottling.

C. Mongillon was a small single estate (~9.5 ha in 1989) at the foot of the Genté hillside on marly-limestone soils; released by Martell as part of its Single Estate Collection to showcase terroir.
