Food Pairing
Western: foie gras, roasted duck, blue cheese, dark chocolate tart, nut-based desserts. Asian: Peking duck, char siu (Cantonese roast pork), miso-glazed fish, mooncake or sesame desserts, spiced nuts and poultry stir-fries.
Production Method
Double-distilled from Ugni Blanc; eaux-de-vie exclusively from the Borderies cru, matured in fine-grained French oak casks (Tronçais/Limousin) and bottled as single-cru expressions or aged blends.
Vineyard Info
Maison Martell, founded 1715, is one of Cognac's oldest houses; Single Cru is a recent collection by Cellar Master Christophe Valtaud showcasing single-terroir Borderies eaux-de-vie from estates like Gallienne.
