Pure cassis and blackcurrant with violet, pencil lead, truffle and sandalwood notes; silky, layered palate, fine ripe tannins and a very long, elegant finish.

Western: roast lamb, beef Wellington, venison, aged hard cheeses. Asian: Peking duck, char siu, soy-braised short ribs, Korean BBQ (galbi), mushroom-and-bean curd dishes.


Production Method

Hand-harvested; varietals fermented and blended (predominantly Cabernet Sauvignon), aged ~18–24 months in new oak barrels, bottled late 2002 (often unfiltered).
