Awards/Ratings
Retail/aggregate scores ~95 (various merchants). Strong critic praise for village Chassagne-Montrachet bottlings (Jasper Morris ~92–94 on similar vintages); well-reviewed for precision, texture and minerality
Tasting Note
Crisp lemon and green apple layered with white peach, brioche and hazelnut; chalky minerality, bright acidity and saline minerality lead to a medium–full, textured palate and a long, focused finish.
Food Pairing
Western: roasted chicken, grilled turbot, scallops, Beaufort or Epoisses cheeses. Asian: miso-glazed black cod, sushi/sashimi, tempura, mildly spiced Thai fish curry.
Production Method
Hand-harvested Chardonnay; natural fermentation in oak, aged on fine lees ~10–12 months with ~20–25% new oak, followed by time in tank before bottling.
Vineyard Info
Domaine Marc Colin et Fils, founded by Marc Colin in 1970 in Saint-Aubin; family-run by his children, estate manages concentrated holdings across the Côte de Beaune (est. ~12–19 ha).
