Tasting Note

Powerful, perfumed Margaux: blackcurrant, blackberry, pressed rose, cedar, graphite and licorice. Silky texture with firm, fine-grained tannins, fresh acidity and a long spiced, mineral finish.

Western: roast lamb, beef tenderloin, grilled ribeye, aged hard cheeses. Asian: Peking duck, Korean BBQ (bulgogi), char siu, miso‑braised beef short ribs, soy‑glazed mushrooms.


Production Method

Hand‑harvested, destemmed; temperature‑controlled stainless steel fermentation, malolactic fermentation, aged 12–16 months in French oak barrels (≈70–80% new).

Château Malescot Saint‑Exupéry, an 1855 Troisième Cru in Margaux, family‑owned (Zuger family), ~28 ha on Pyrenean gravel soils; long heritage with modern winemaking upgrades.
