Tasting Note

Rich dark-berry and cassis core with mulberry, plum, mint and cedar notes; vanilla/oak, chocolate and subtle spice. Medium-full bodied, fine ripe tannins, pointed acidity and a long, savory finish.

Roast or grilled lamb, ribeye or brisket, aged cheddar; Asian: Korean BBQ, char siu pork, Szechuan beef or teriyaki beef, hoisin-glazed duck.


Production Method

Hand-harvested parcels fermented in small static fermenters; finished and aged in French oak (c.18–22 months) with selective barrel blending for final cabernet–shiraz assemblage.

Majella is a family-owned Coonawarra producer that began bottling estate fruit in the late 1990s; known for single-estate Cabernet and Shiraz from older vines on terra rossa soils.
