Tasting Note

Cassis and blackberry with characteristic eucalypt, mint and bay‑leaf notes, plus cedar and dark chocolate. Medium‑full palate, juicy acidity, plush ripe fruit and fine dusty tannins; long, savory finish.


Food Pairing

Western: roast lamb, grilled ribeye/steak, beef short ribs, aged cheddar and hard cheeses. Asian: beef rendang, char siu, Korean BBQ, Chinese red‑braised beef, mushroom hotpot/stir‑fry.


Production Method

Fermented in static and rotary stainless‑steel fermenters, finished in 300L French oak; matured ~18 months in new and second‑use French oak hogsheads; parcels kept separate before blending and bottling.

Majella, founded by the Lynn (Lynn family) in 1968, is a 60+ ha estate in Coonawarra; renowned for classic cabernet made by long‑time winemakers (Bruce Gregory et al.).
